Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This policy describes what information historyandphysical.net ("we," "us," or "the site") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is an independent educational resource for medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
Information we collect
- Email address. Only when you choose to provide it: to unlock additional free questions, to sign in to the community, or to express interest in membership. We never require an email just to read the site or answer the free questions.
- Payment information. Membership checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive from Stripe only what is needed to manage your membership, such as your email, subscription status, and plan.
- Study activity. If you are a signed-in member, we save your quiz and exam progress (which questions you answered, right or wrong, and timing) so features like saved progress, "practice the ones you missed," and post-block analysis work.
- Community content. Anything you choose to post in the community is stored and displayed with your chosen display name.
- Usage data. Standard analytics data such as pages visited, approximate location from IP address, browser type, and referring page, collected through Google Analytics.
How we use it
- To provide the features you asked for: unlocking questions, saving progress, running your membership, and delivering the community.
- To send you the emails you signed up for, such as new banks and new exams. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and third party services
As of 22 August 2026 this site carries no advertising of any kind. The site uses the following third party services, each of which may set cookies or process data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics for usage statistics.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook) for measuring which pages and sign-ups came from our ads, and for showing relevant ads to people who have visited the site. You can opt out of ad personalization in your Facebook ad preferences.
- Anthropic processes the text you type into the site assistant, and the timing and answer record behind a member's post-test analysis, so that those replies can be generated. The assistant is not connected to any account or records system. The post-test analysis receives your topic labels, whether each answer was right, how long each answer took and how often you changed it; it never receives the question text, and it is used only to produce your report.
- Stripe for secure payment processing.
- Resend for delivering the emails you request, including sign-in links.
- Cloudflare for content delivery and security.
A note on health information
This site is a study resource, not a patient care tool, and it is not a HIPAA covered entity. Do not post protected health information or any patient identifiers anywhere on the site, including the community. Community rules prohibit sharing patient information.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account or subscription is active, or as long as needed to provide the services described above. To have your email removed from our lists or your account data deleted, contact us at the address below and we will process the request promptly.
Children
The site is intended for adult students and professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
